How Stacked Shaft Nanobubble Generators can Transform Wash Quality in In-Bay Automatics

Last week, CRS had the distinct privilege of attending the installation of Shaft nanobubble generators on several Washworld Razor in-bay-automatics in Wisconsin (home of CRS's on-shore manufacturing facility) by Mike Gordon from BioTech and Arcadian Chemistry Solutions.

In-bay automatics like the Washworld Razor are proven workhorses in the car wash industry. They deliver consistent service in a small footprint, with the reliability operators depend on. But when it comes to standing out—improving cleaning power, drying performance, and customer satisfaction—traditional chemistry and water alone have limits.

That’s where strategically installed, stacked Shaft Nanobubble Generators make all the difference.

Why Nanobubbles?

Nanobubbles are microscopic gas bubbles—so small they behave differently than conventional bubbles. In water, they:

  • Penetrate grime at the molecular level, loosening dirt, oils, and road film.

  • Supercharge detergents, making soaps and presoaks work harder with less chemical.

  • Prevent spotting and streaking by conditioning rinse water.

  • Accelerate drying, thanks to their charge properties and effect on surface tension.

The Three-Point Installation Strategy

In the installation featured in the video, three Shaft Nanobubble Generators were placed at key stages of the Washworld Razor’s wash cycle:

  1. LP Pump Feed Line (CRS538)

    • Infuses the water feeding the chemistry with trillions of nanobubbles, enhancing the water’s ability to hold air.

    • Improves detergent effectiveness, helping break bonds between dirt and vehicle surfaces.

  2. Triad (CRS190)

    • Installed on the “Triad” (the point where air and chemistry mix with water), this second pass of nanobubble generation is turbocharged by air injection.

    • Conditions the water, allowing jets to clean more effectively.

    • Delivers quicker removal of bugs, bird droppings, and greasy road film.

    • Results in brighter wheels, cleaner rocker panels, and improved coverage in hard-to-reach areas.

  3. Final Spot-Free Rinse (CRS285 on the RO Feed Line)

    • Provides RO membranes with a first line of defense against biofilm and scale buildup.

    • Eliminates scaling and reduces surface tension, so water sheets off instead of clinging.

    • Leaves customers driving away with drier, shinier cars—without the need for additional chemical dryers.

Benefits for Operators

Installing three Shaft Nanobubble Generators transforms wash quality in ways your customers will notice immediately:

  • Higher perceived wash quality → improved ticket averages and repeat business.

  • Reduced chemical use → lower operating costs without sacrificing performance.

  • Better drying performance → fewer complaints, happier customers, more five-star reviews.

  • Long-term equipment protection → scale prevention reduces maintenance and downtime.

A Smarter Path to Premium Wash Results

For operators of in-bay automatics like the Washworld Razor, differentiation is everything. With competition increasing, the ability to consistently deliver a visibly better clean is what keeps customers loyal.

The Shaft Nanobubble Generator isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a competitive edge. By installing three units at the right points in your wash process, you transform everyday water into a powerful cleaning and drying tool.
